| Additional Info : Debuted as a jazz singer in her own hometown of Kyoto at the age of 12. Moved to New York, USA at the age of 18 and spent the next 10 years of her life there. Returned to Japan in 2001 and gained the attention of major labels after many memorable guest appearances. Recorded the theme song for the popular Yosuke Kubozuka movie "Kyoki No Sakura" in 2002 and started her major label career at Sony Music Japan in 2004 with "Hikari No Nakae". |
